Privacy information for WallyLedger
WallyLedger is designed to keep your financial data under your control: on your device and, if you choose sync, in your private iCloud account.
Last updated: 15 May 2026
Overview
WallyLedger is a private, offline-first personal finance application for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
WallyLedger is developed and operated by Henri La.
Data storage
Financial data you enter, such as accounts, transactions, budgets, attachments, receipts, notes, recurring transactions, savings goals, settings, and planning data, is stored locally on your device.
If you choose to enable iCloud sync, that data is synchronised through your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service.
WallyLedger does not operate a server that stores, reads, or processes your financial data. The developer does not have access to your local device data or your private iCloud database.
What information the app handles
WallyLedger handles information that you choose to enter into the app, such as:
- Account names
- Balances
- Transactions
- Categories
- Payees
- Budgets
- Receipts and attachments
- Recurring items
- Savings goals
- Credit, debt, and mortgage details
- Settings preferences
Accounts, ads, and tracking
WallyLedger does not require a WallyLedger account.
WallyLedger does not include advertising SDKs, third-party trackers, or in-app analytics.
In-app purchases
Purchases, subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and Family Sharing are handled by Apple through the App Store and your Apple ID account.
WallyLedger receives only the entitlement result needed to know whether Premium features should be available. WallyLedger does not receive or store your payment card details.
Website and analytics
This website is a static marketing and support site. It does not intentionally include analytics dashboards, advertising trackers, user accounts, or client-side analytics scripts.
Standard hosting, security, or platform logs may still exist as part of normal website delivery and abuse prevention.
Data sales and third-party services
WallyLedger does not sell personal data.
WallyLedger relies on Apple platform services where necessary, including iCloud/CloudKit for optional sync and StoreKit/App Store infrastructure for purchases. The website may be served through a static hosting provider.
Data storage and security
WallyLedger is designed around trust and careful handling of personal finance information. This policy intentionally avoids overstating security claims.
It does not claim bank-level security, end-to-end encryption, regulatory certification, or any other unverified protection standard.
User rights
Because WallyLedger stores your financial data locally and, if enabled, in your private iCloud account, much of your data can be accessed, edited, exported, or deleted directly from your device and Apple account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights related to access, correction, deletion, or objection to certain kinds of data handling.
