WallyLedger FAQ

Where is my financial data stored?

Your WallyLedger data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, it is synced through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service.

Do I need a WallyLedger account?

No. WallyLedger does not require a WallyLedger account or sign-up. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through your Apple ID.

Does WallyLedger connect to my bank?

No. WallyLedger is designed for manual tracking and planning. It does not connect to banks or import transactions through a banking API.

Is iCloud sync required?

No. WallyLedger can be used locally on a device. iCloud sync is optional and is used when you want to keep WallyLedger data available across your Apple devices.

What is included in the free version?

The free version includes manual transaction tracking and reporting with limits: up to 3 accounts, 2 budgets, 3 savings goals, 3 recurring transactions, and 60 transactions per month.

What does Premium unlock?

Premium unlocks the complete WallyLedger experience, including unlimited accounts, categories, budgets, goals, and recurring transactions, advanced forecasts and charts, subscription, credit, debt and mortgage tracking, receipt attachments and scanning, action and notification history, and full CSV export.

Does WallyLedger show ads or use tracking?

No. WallyLedger does not include ads, advertising SDKs, third-party trackers, or in-app analytics.

Can I export my data?

Yes. WallyLedger supports CSV export. Export availability can depend on the feature area and Free or Premium access.

Is WallyLedger financial advice?

No. WallyLedger is a personal finance organization and planning tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, or professional advice.

Which platforms are supported?

WallyLedger supports iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It requires iOS 18, iPadOS 18, or macOS 15 or later.

How do subscriptions and cancellations work?

Premium subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and Family Sharing are handled by Apple. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

How do I contact support?

Email support@wallyledger.com with a clear description of the issue, your device and operating system, and screenshots if they do not reveal private financial information.

How do I report a bug?

Email support@wallyledger.com with a clear description of the issue, the platform you used, what you expected to happen, what happened instead, and any steps that help reproduce it.

How do I request a feature?

Feature ideas are welcome. Include the problem you are trying to solve, the platform you use, and why the current workflow is not enough.
